As we won’t have met all of each others family and friends in advance of the wedding, we thought that we would write a brief note on ‘us’ so that people can read about the one they haven’t met.
We met on December 29th 2005 in Dublin and fell madly in love very shortly after. We got engaged in March 2007 on a gorgeous beach in Wexford on a beautiful spring morning (all very romantic). The fact that the date of the wedding is also the 29th is more coincidental than by design. We picked the 29th as we felt it was a date that wouldn’t impact on our guests Christmas or New Year plans .
The Bride
Marian hails from Clonmel, Co. Tipperary but has lived in Dublin since 1999. Marian (in stark contrast to Larry) comes from a very small family namely: her parents Anne and Noel and her brothers Derek and Paul. Paul married Aisling in July 2007. The rest of the clan consist of grandmother Bridie, aunt Ger, her husband Greg and their three children Kevin, Riain and Tara.
Marian has worked in healthcare recruitment in the area of learning disability since 2003.
Marian’s bridesmaids (maids of honour) are her school friend Regina and her sister in law Aisling. Marian’s cousin (and god-daughter) Tara will be flower girl.
The Groom
Larry hails from Cullohill, Co. Laois but has lived in Dublin since 2000. He is the eldest and the only son of Anne and Jimmy. Larry has 7 sisters (Breda, Joan, Laura, Sinead, Louise, Elaine and Aine) and a large number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Larry is a software engineer with AOL.
The best man Mark is a school friend of Larry’s and groomsman Pat is a first cousin.
